Joseph George, Sr., CPA

Joseph George was born and raised in Palestine, TX. He grew up with a family full of CPA’s and was taught at an early age by his father at the East Texas accounting firm. He went to school at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX where he received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Master’s degree in Taxation. Shortly after he received his CPA certificate and moved to Houston, TX to get married.

While working for his dad’s firm in Palestine, TX, he took off of school for two semesters to help with the busy tax seasons and learned a tremendous amount with helping doctor clinics, oilfield companies, and farmers with tax preparation and planning. By being a full‐time student in the summers, he graduated with both degrees in 5 years and had 2 tax seasons under his belt.

While working for a firm in Sugar Land, he had a tremendous amount of experience with high‐net‐worth businesses and individuals with foreign reporting requirements. By the hard work and hours, he worked his way up to a full‐time reviewer and was getting primed for a move.

In 2016, he moved to Tyler, TX and started Joseph George, CPA, PLLC. Since then, he has helped businesses all over the world with proactive tax planning and preparation. His firm is 100% paperless and can handle all of your tax and accounting needs through phone, email, and zoom if you are out of state.

His interests outside of accounting include spending time with his family, participating in church and community events, catching monster fish on the lake, and playing all sorts of music.
